Introduction

Background:

The ocean serves as the largest carbon exchange reservoir on Earth, playing an irreplaceable role in the global carbon cycle. Simultaneously, it harbors vast untapped potential for non-carbon alternative green energy sources. Exploring the topic of ocean carbon neutrality and global sustainable development holds profound significance, embodying the reality of caring for the ocean, understanding the ocean, and strategizing for the ocean.

This international conference will provide a platform for experts and scholars in relevant fields to exchange ideas. Discussions will center around four main research directions: key processes and theoretical innovations in ocean carbon sequestration, non-carbon energy substitution solutions and key technologies, typical demonstrations and promotion of ocean carbon sequestration applications, and standards for ocean carbon trading markets and climate change assessments. The aim is to accelerate our understanding of the crucial role of the ocean in carbon neutrality efforts.
