Ester Serrao is an accomplished academic with a diverse range of qualifications in biology science. In 1989, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Biology from University of Lisbon in Portugal. In 1992, she achieved her Master's degree in Statistics from University of Lisbon in Portugal. Her academic journey culminated in 1996 when she completed her PhD in biological sciences from University of Maine in USA. Currently, she serve as a Full Professor at the University of Algarve in Faro, Portugal, where her research focuses on Biogeography, Evolutionary Ecology, Marine Forests, Population Genetics, and Biodiversity.
