Guanghui Lin is currently a professor of ecology at the Tsinghua University of China, and the Chief Scientist for Hainan International Blue Carbon Research Center. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Ecology from University of Miami, followed by a postdoctoral research scientist at the University of Utah and Associate Research Professor at Columbia University, USA. After returning to China in 2003, he holds positions of Principal Scientist in the Institute of Botany, CAS, Professor & Associate Dean in the School of Life Sciences, Xiamen University，and Jointed Professor in the Institute Ocean Engineering, Tsinghua’s Shenzhen International Graduate School. Lin has authored >230 publications and 5 books, most of them focusing on mangrove ecology, stable isotope ecology and coastal blue carbon ecosystems.
