Suam Kim, a Professor Emeritus at Pukyong National University in Korea. He is also a Fellow of the Korean Academy of Science and Technology (KAST). He served as Director of the Polar Research Center of the Korea Ocean Research & Development Institute (KORDI), Chairman of Korean Committee of Global Ocean Ecosystem Dynamics (GLOBEC), and as President of the North Pacific Anadromous Fish Commission (NPAFC). His fields of interest include the environmental factors causing the recruitment variability of fishery resources in the North Pacific and the Southern Ocean, fish ecology, and climate change impacts on marine ecosystems and fisheries. He has served as an Editorial Board member in several international journals and published over 130 papers in domestic and international journals, 7 books and 28 book chapters.
