Yunwei Dong, a professor under the "Peak Talent Program" at Ocean University of China and a recipient of the National Outstanding Fund, primarily engages in marine ecology research. He also serves as the Vice Chairman of the Ecological Aquaculture Branch of the Chinese Society of Oceanography and Limnology, Vice Chairman of the Echinoderm Branch of the Chinese Society of Oceanography and Limnology, an Executive Member of the Marine Ecology Committee of the Ecological Society of China, an Executive Member of the Physiological Ecology Committee of the Zoological Society of China, and a member of the Science and Technology Committee of the China Wildlife Conservation Association. Section Editor for the journal Marine Life Science & Technology; Associate Editor for journals such as Diversity and Distributions, Journal of Experimental Marine Biology and Ecology, and Anthropocene Coasts; and Editorial Board Member for Marine Environmental Research, Journal of Thermal Biology, and Progress in Fisheries Science. He has published over 100 papers in journals including PNAS, Global Change Biology, Proceedings of the Royal Society B, and Global Ecology and Biogeography, with a total of more than 5,000 citations. He has received the Young Innovator Award of the Zhang Fushui Molluscan Award from the Chinese Society of Oceanography and Limnology and the Rising Star Award from the Changlong Prize of the Zoological Society of China.
