Denis Bailly

Denis Bailly is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Brest (UBO), France, where he also serves as a Researcher at the Centre for Law and Economics of the Sea (AMURE). His research focuses on marine and coastal policy, ecological economics, integrated coastal zone management, integrated watershed management, and conservation policy. Over his career, he has held several key positions, including National Cocoordinator for the Economic and Social Assessment for the Marine Strategy Framework Directive, member of the expert committee of the Ocean and Climate Platform, and member of the editorial board of the international journal Marine Policy. Denis has led numerous research projects funded by various institutions, such as ANR, FFEM, and INTERREG, where he specializes in socio-ecological assessments and stakeholder engagement. His publications span a wide range of topics, from coastal nature-based solutions to underwater noise reduction in ports, demonstrating his expertise and contributions to marine and coastal research.
