Justin Ahanhanzo is an Initiator & Promoter, Founding Coordinator & Technical Secretary of the Global Ocean Observing Systems in Africa (GOOS-AFRICA), and Ex-(retired) UNESCO International Programme Specialist Regional Liaison Officer for Latin America and the Caribbean, Asia and the Pacific and Africa, formerly at the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO (IOC-UNESCO) based in Paris. He is also an Initiator & ex-Team Leader of the UNESCO Cross-cutting Programme on the Applications of Satellite Remote Sensing for Integrated Management of Ecosystems and Water Resources in Africa. Besides, he is an ex-(retired) Technical Secretary and Coordinator of the IOC-UNESCO Regional Committee for the Central Indian Ocean (IOCINDIO).
